Adil’s Tour Diary Day 1

Peterson, Pollard and Pouring rain.

After arriving in Barbados, I attended the first day of training today. It was really cool to be kitted out with the Barbados team training kit. You could see how professional this Tridents outfit is from their team locker room and the buoyant atmosphere.

After some light chat with Kieron Pollard, Robin Peterson and the rest of the Tridents team, it was time to head down to the Kensington Oval for training. Training started with warm-up catching and throwing drills. It was then off to the nets where I did some bowling.

The rhythm was coming and then the rain interrupted the session. The beauty of this trip is that every single moment with these stars provides the opportunity to learn something about the game of cricket. I headed to lunch with the team after a cool down session. The Caribbean is a truly wonderful place to play cricket. When the rain stays away, the weather is conducive to playing great cricket and of course Barbados is beautiful.

It is truly an honor to train with these people in Barbados. I guess it is #GoTridents and #GoUSA

Signing out for Day 1,

Adil
