GM Original Limited Edition Cricket Batting Pads

GM Original Limited Edition Cricket Batting Pads image

With regards the new GM Original LE batting pads 2018 there really hasn't been anything new added that we've noticed. This though isn't actually a problem. The Original LE batting pad is the top of the line batting pad from Gunn & Moore & its packed with technology. Poron XRD is a impact protection / absorbing foam that dissipates 90% of the impact. That allows a batsman to worry about his game rather than being scared of an impact on his legs. The downside I believe is that the GM pad is slightly heavier than its competition weighing in at 2.1kg for the pair. Thats about 4lbs.

XRD® Technology is all about action – and impact! Like all PORON microcellular products, XRD Extreme Impact Protection is open cell, comfortable, flexible, breathable and lightweight, the XRD protection difference is especially apparent at high speed impact.

Features :

#1 : 2.10 Approx. Weight Per Pair (KG)

#2 : PronPU Facing

#3 : Traditional Cotton/Cane Construction

#4 : Comfort Foam/ Low Density Foam/Plastic Fibre Vertical Bolster

#5 : One-Piece Low Density Interior Bolster

#6 : Stitched-In Top Hat

#7 : XRD/Plastic Fibre/Tri-Layer Foam Knee Locator

#8 : Three Comfort Straps

#9 : Two 2” Straps

#10 : One 1” Strap

#11 : Comfort/PU Instep

These great batting pads are used by players like Smith, Gibbs, Root, Vince & Westley.

SS Millennium Pro Cricket Batting Pads

SS Millennium Pro Cricket Batting Pads image

These new SS Millennium Pro Batting Pads 2018 may not be the most technically advanced, the most expensive or even the most flashy but they for sure are probably the lightest. These very cool Cricket Batting Pads feature a double strap system (preferred by many batsman ) which is a feature of the modern style super light high density foam batting pads. Companied can get away with this light pad by throwing out the older outdated cane inserts or cardboard reinforcements found in batting pads over the last few decades. In fact modern cricket gear is probably the slowest progressing paddings systems in the world. Much like cricket bats, cricket batting pads, gloves etc haven't evolved all that much in the last 50 years. One of the biggest improvements of all times is when batting pads upgraded from belt buckles on the back of the pads to velcro straps.

What SS have done here is got rid of the older bulky materials & just gone with super light high density foam. Its a winning combination & works great.

Features :

#1 : Super Light.

#2 : 2 strap system keeps the pads nice and light.

#3 : High density foam 3D moulded for great fit & comfort.

Ive been really impressed with these new 2018 Kookaburra Ghost Pro Batting Pads. To start with i really love the all white retro look Kookaburra have gone for here. In fact retro is a big part of what the Ghost range has become over the last few years. Some of the nice little touches would be the KOOKABURRA wording on front padding new the bottom instep. Also the all white look of the pads, inside & out and then also the Kookaburra " BIRD " imagery on all the tags, top hat & side knee protection. Overall this is an excellent pad, great value for money & super cool looks.

Features :

#1 : Traditional 7 cane width.

#2 : Premium mesh & PU covering.

#3 : Knee & vertical bolsters for comfort & fit.

#4 : Specifically shaped thigh protection, calf & ankle protection.

#5 : Embossed logo's on straps.

#5 : Off centre PVC instep for advanced comfort & protection.
